Bill is survived by a blended family of 9 children: Gary Ireland, Mark, Kevin (Cheri), Sean Foley all of Springfield; Ron (Carol) Goubeaux of Arcanum, OH, Rob (Jocelyn) Goubeaux of California, Sandra (Bob) Brinkman of Tipp City, Susan (John) Hazelrigg of Huber Heights, Sharon (Greg) Steinmetz of Zanesville; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen (Vint) (Foley) Caplinger; special caregiver, Deb "Bev" Schneider; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Springfield, OH, Class of 1946. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War. Bill retired from International Harvester after 44 years of service; was a charter member of UAW Local # 658; member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huber Heights, where he was a lector; member of St. Joseph Court # 364 Catholic Order of Foresters, Dayton; 53 year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 397 and Union Club, both of Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights. Burial and military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Elizabeth's New Life Center, 2201 N. Main Street, Dayton, OH 45405-3528.
