In Memory Of
Sharon Claire "Little Star" Brown
1936 - 2018

Sharon Claire Brown, age 82 of Sugarcreek Twp., passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at St. Leonard Center. She was born February 24, 1936 in Buffalo, New York the daughter of John and Claire Magee.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald Magee.

Sharon was quite the accomplished portrait artist with oil paint.

She had the nickname of Little Star and following is how she acquired that nickname:

It was winter time in Buffalo NY..... SEVERAL FEET OF SNOW ON THE GROUND.
Sharon was very young ........

SHE ASKED HER FATHER, John, WHERE SHE CAME FROM.

He put on her coat and took her outside to a large snow bank.....telling her that one dark snowy night a shooting star landed in that very snow bank....Father put the brightly shining star in a bucket......took it inside ...placing it beside the fireside to warm up.

Then it became YOU....SO.....YOU ARE LITTLE STAR OR ESTRALITA!

Back then if you wanted to talk to a neighbor you just opened the window and hollered!

AND....WE HAD PARTY TELEPHONE LINES.. you’d give the desired number to call , to the operator. then she would connect!
USUALLY 3-4 homes on a circuit. If busy....well
JUST HANG UP,And WAIT. BUT MOST WOULD RELINQUISH THE LINE COURTEOUSLY

Sharon is survived by her husband, Rodney; daughter, Lisa Lyn (Keith) Maxwell; sister, Linda Kuschel; grandchildren, Joshua, Andrea and Jordan Maxwell; great-grandchild, Emersyn Bostic; and other numerous family and friends.

A memorial service in Sharon's honor will be conducted at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family requests donations be made to the Diabetes Association in Sharon's name.
