She was born August 4, 1943 to Jones and Henrietta Beavers, in Rome, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 4 sisters; 1 granddaughter (Missy Raines), 1 grandson (Eddie Harris II), and 2 great grandchildren, Rania and Randall Blaze Maxwell.
Mariann was a loving wife to Harold Goens for 28 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughters, Julie (Jimmy) Tanner and Patricia Jones; sister, Beatrice Terry; brothers, Charles W., Ruben J., and Robert E. Beavers; grandsons, Randall Maxwell (Christy), Anthony Kaunda) Maxwell, and Marvin (Demara) Harris; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and caregivers. Mariann was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She had a strong love for her God Jehovah and relied upon her faith through many trials.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 24, 2018, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Kettering, Ohio. A
Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 pm.
Interment immediately after at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428).
