James Key, age 42 of Kettering, passed away September 16, 2018. James was born in Willoughby, EastLake, Ohio on November 29, 1975 to proud parents Audrey and Ronnie Key. James attended Stebbins High School and went on to become an electrician. He was a member of IBEW Local No. 82.

James enjoyed working with his hands and improving how things operate. He will be remembered for his compassion and generosity. James was always willing to help a friend or loved one in need. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Kettering. James was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

James was preceded in death by his brother, Jared Key and grandmother, Evelyn "Rene" Roach.

James leaves to cherish his memory, son, Kaden James Key; parents, Audrey and Ronnie Key; brother, Jeremy Key; grandmother, Audrey Bolton; nephew, Braxton Key; niece, Kaylynn Key; and many other loving relatives and friends. James is also survived by, Brandon, Brittany, and Amber, whom he loved like his own children.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Charity Baptist Church (1600 Brownleigh Road, Kettering) at 6pm. Family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (5pm - 6pm).
