Phyllis S. Crowe, age 81 of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. She was born January 12, 1937 in Winchester, Indiana to the late Rollin and Madonna Gill.

Phyllis worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. She never met a stranger and enjoyed socializing with her co-workers and friends. Phyllis cherished time spent with her family and extended family. Phyllis liked playing cards and dominoes with her neighbors and friends, Wayne and Jeannie. She loved cats and took in many animals over the years.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Crowe; and children, Charlie Crowe, Mindy Penix and Kyle Miller.

Phyllis will be missed by her daughters, Vickie Holdeman and Tammy (Barry) Dorman; six grandchildren, Brooke (Ricardo) Thompson, James Penix, Chrystal (Charles) Vidrine, Amber (Jon) Buckley, Wendy Counts, Thomas Counts; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings; many nieces, nephews; life-time neighbor, Linda Dearmond and beloved caretaker, Melinda Steinbrugge.

Family will receive friends Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial to follow the service at Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
