Roland Walter Hislope, 69, of Wilmington, passed away on September 10, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton.

He was born on April 16, 1949 to Cecil and Katherine (Wilson) Hislope in Dayton, OH.

Roland worked for DP&L for many years.

He was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington where he participated in Sunday Morning Worship Service as the drummer. The things that he enjoyed most was his church and serving the Lord through his music.

Roland is survived by his Loving Mother, Katherine Monachino; Children, Robert B. Hislope, Holly A. Meadows (Thomas); 1 Sister and 2 Half-Brothers; Grandchildren, Zachary, Brianna, and Isabel Hislope, Amanda Gutwein, D.O. and Dallas Carson; Great Granddaughter, Quinn Carson; 3 Nieces, Katie, Kristin, and Kelly; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father and Step-Mother, Cecil & Lucy Hislope; and Uncle Lawrence & Aunt Evelyn Hislope.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington (55 Megan Dr. Wilmington, OH 45177) at 11:00 am.
