E. Beryl Gavin-Ketchen died Monday 14 May 2018 at the age of 86 after a brief illness.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Mrs. Gavin-Ketchen is preceded in death by her husband, Leo M. Ketchen. She is survived by three children: Wayne (Cindy) Ketchen, Patricia (Paul) Lehman, and Colonel Gavin (Deborah) Ketchen, USAF (Ret); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.

From an early age, Mrs. Gavin-Ketchen was always a high energy person who loved being active. She immigrated to New York City from Ireland in 1959 and was active in the local business communities. She enjoyed traveling extensively for both business and pleasure.

In the last years of her life, she settled in Abilene, Texas – though did not slow down, she continued to organize travel activities for the community. Mrs. Gavin-Ketchen was very engaged with several groups, to include the Abilene Iris and Day Lily Society, the Abilene Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association, the VFW-Auxiliary, the Dyess AFB Retired Military Wives Club, The Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest, Abilene, TX, and many more.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday May 27, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home on Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH.
