Ralph J. Lovell, age 91 of Dayton, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 20, 1927 in Heidelberg, Kentucky to the late Herman Lovell and Carlie Thacker.

Ralph served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He received the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal in Japan. Ralph was a past member of the AmVets Post #99 in Vandalia and a Mason

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie B. Lovell and brother, Marvin Warner.

Ralph is survived by his four sons, Michael (Kay) Lovell, Paul (Stephanie) Lovell, Steve Lovell and James (Karen) Lovell; daughter, Brenda (Ed) Elvidge; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Durbin; brother, Caleb Warner. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Family will receive friends Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, Burial to follow at Royal Oaks Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton or to the Alzheimer's Association.
