Edgar “Ed” P. Jansen, age 88, of West Carrollton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Ed was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 25, 1929 to the late Joseph & Estella Jansen.
Ed was a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a member of the AFMC and the Anointed Word Ministries in Springfield, Ohio. He participated in ministries such as, the City Mission and Montgomery County Jail Ministry.
Ed retired in 1994 from General Motors with 46 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty A. Jansen and daughter, Sondra K. Rymer. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Connie L. Jansen; daughters, Deborah M. Valentine and Rebecca L. Shouse; step-children, Steven Bates, Carrie Massie, Jennifer Wright, and Eric Bates; and numerous grandchildren.
The service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 1:30pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439, with Pastor Harold Ayres officiating. Ed will be laid to rest at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
