Joe R. Heaton, age 65 of Riverside, passed away February 8, 2018. He was born on March 16, 1952 in Jellico, TN to Thelma (Delk) Heaton. Joe was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ronald Wheeler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Linda K. Heaton; children, Lacie (Jason) Burdette and Tyler (Keith) Heaton-Joseph; grandchildren, Madison and Peyton; mother, Thelma Heaton; sister, Brenda Farris; brother, Lynn (Cathy) Heaton; mother-in-law, Jessie Wheeler; sister-in-law, Erma Briney; nieces, Amy and Stephanie; nephews, Shawn (Lori) and Samuel; best friends, Brenda and Dan Kuenle and their sons, Steven and Greg; best friends, Dave and Sue Lowry and their sons, David and Michael; numerous extended family and friends.
Joe was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee. He had a love for music especially playing his guitars. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, vacationing and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd.
