He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alfreda Zankl, a brother, Jack Ledbetter, and a sister, Judy Ledbetter.
Donald is survived by his three daughters, Sharon Slusher, Diane Shipp, and Jackie Bryant; a son, Patrick Ledbetter; a sister, Betty Gordon; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
A Catholic Mass will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Henry's Catholic Church (6696 North Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449)
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439).
Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
