Catherine E. Brown, 89, of Dayton, passed away on November 20, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on March 27, 1925 in Northridge, Ohio, to the late William and Doris (McFarland) Brown.

Catherine belonged to the North Dayton Anglers and was a life time member of Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Keith O. Brown; son, John Brown; brothers, James and Richard Brown; sister, Evelyn Walker; grandson, Douglas Johns.

Catherine is survived by her children, William (Luana) Brown, Mary Whiting, Joanne (Ron Cochran) Tackett, David (Lisa) Brown, Karen (Matt) Meginnes; sister, Margaret Wagner; daughter-in-law, Mary Brown; sisters-in-law, Peggy Brown and Betty Lefeld; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 4134 Cedar Ridge Rd, Dayton, 45414, with Father Joshua Otusafo, officiating. Burial to follow at the Willow View Cemetery.
