Hays, Delbert, age 89, of West Carrollton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born February 16, 1925 in Gray Hawk, Kentucky to the late Thomas & Ruby (Brumback) Hays.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Helen (Creech) Hays; two children: Connie (Bill) Carmack & Gary (Melissa) Marcum; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters; 3 brothers; 2 grandchildren & 2 infant great grandchildren.

Delbert was a member of Miami Shores Baptist Church in Moraine and served in Baptist churches as a Deacon and Music Director for many years. He was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during WWII. He will be missed and honored by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Road, Moraine with Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel.
