Stan is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Catherine (Howard) Beals, Connie (Steve) Drees, Sylvia (Jerry) Carmody, Barbara Jo Danzeisen and Karen McCalister; grandchildren: Whitney, Corey, Kelsey and Caitlin Beals, Jeremy, Andrew and Ryan Drees, Patti Riggs, Jamie Hobbs, Mandy Lindal Fisher, Danielle Lindal, and Grant and Grace McCalister; great grandchildren: Avery, Destiny, Jeffrey, Serenity, Brandon, and Trinity; brother, Joe (Alberta) Dolinski; sisters: Marcy (Bill) Landenburg and Mary Hageman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Stan was a WWII veteran, a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #4424, was a retired Engineer from General Motors after 34 years, and was a retired Vocational Teacher with various school districts. He was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, and was a past President of the Holy Name Society.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 1509 Valley Street, Dayton. Fr. Joe Kindel, Celebrant. Burial and Military Honors will take place at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Contributions may be made in Stan’s memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
