Hurst, Leland Kenneth, age 71, of West Carrollton, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012. He was born January 2, 1941 in Breathitt County, Kentucky. He was employed by Spicer Construction for over 34 years.

Leland was preceded in death by his father: Finley Hurst. He is survived by his wife and companion of 42 years: Joyce Hurst; mother: Willa Mae (Vest) Hurst; daughter: Leighanna (David) Houdieshell; son: Brian Hurst; granddaughter: McKenzie; grandsons: Alex & Chase; siblings: Linda (Johnny) Jones, Barbara Hauck, Mick (Kathy) Hurst, Mike Hurst, Sherry Reed; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until time of service.
