In Memory Of
Vivian E. Bush
1948 - 2016

Age 68, Vivian E. Bush of Kettering, Ohio, passed away on February 6, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on September 13, 1947, to Harmon and Lillian Robinson, in Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents Thomas and Idella Pringle of Dayton, Ohio; and paternal grandparents Dutch and Willie Robinson of Montgomery, Ala.

Vivian attended Miami Chapel Elementary School and graduated from Colonel White High School in the class of 1967. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, specializing in social work, from Wright State University in 2006.

She retired as a unit secretary from Montgomery County Children Services in 1992, following 30-plus years of service; and she most recently worked as a patient access specialist at Premier Health – Miami Valley Hospital’s Berry Women’s Health Pavilion in Dayton.

Vivian leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories: her longtime partner Julius “Spanky” Walker of Kettering; a devoted daughter Yvette (Anthony) Watson of Huber Heights, Ohio, and son Michael Bush of Dayton, Ohio; sister Linda (Alton) Raymond of Placerville, Calif.; grandchildren Natasha Bush-Postell of Columbus, Ohio, and Ebony Storehalder of Troy, Ohio; great-grandson Elijah Morris; step-grandson Austin Schneider-Watson of Cincinnati, Ohio; aunt Pauline Jordan of Dayton, Ohio; uncle Charles Pringle of Trotwood, Ohio; nieces, nephews, a host of cousins; best friend Deborah Bush of Dayton; and many other relatives and friends.

Vivian loved life and was an independent thinker who possessed an indomitable spirit. She was also a gifted artist whose talent for oil painting and charcoal drawing brought her many years of great joy. Vivian loved to travel both stateside and internationally, enjoyed classic movies, had a love for books, and appreciated many genres of music–from rock ‘n’ roll and R&B to “Lite Favorites” and classic Motown. And, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
