Puckett, Marcus, age 57, of Miamisburg passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at home under hospice care.

He was born July 6, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Ross and Edna Vaughn Puckett.

He is preceded in death by mother-in-law Pat Gebhardt and nephew Adam Gebhardt.

Marcus is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Gebhardt Puckett, daughter Amy Puckett O’Ryan and spouse Jesse, son Eric Puckett and two grandchildren, Connor and Emma O’Ryan; brothers, Marvin and Anthony Puckett; sisters and spouses, Loretta and Pete Smith, Denise and Bruce Hochwalt, Lisa and Ron Burns.
Also survived by father-in-law Donald Gebhardt and spouse Linda; brothers-in-law, Vincent and Stephen Gebhardt, Joshua and spouse Dari Gebhardt; sisters-in-law Marsha Gebhardt and companion Jim; along with several nieces and nephews.

Marcus served in the US Army from Jan 1976 to Jan 1982. He became a meat cutter, working alongside his father-in-law Don, and later employed by General Motors.

Marcus was a member of the Miamisburg Moose Lodge where he loved going to socialize with his friends.

A Celebration of Life event will be held in his honor on Feb 21 at 2:00pm at the Miamisburg Moose Lodge.

A special thanks to his sister Denise and spouse Bruce for being there to help care for him in his final days. We are also very grateful for the loving care provided by Tim Horn of Hospice of Dayton.
