He was born January 17, 1933 the son of the late Lloyd and Margaret (Durst) Stephens. Charles retired from Kaiser Aluminum, Ravenswood, WV, with 25 years of service. He was owner of Charles Stephens Farm Machinery for 58 years. Charles was a people person, always ready to shake your hand and chat a while. He was a most loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Stephens.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years Anna Belle (Bateman, Pearson), Stephens; sons, Allen (Cathy), Mike, both of Cottageville, Greg (Michele) of Beverly, Ohio; and three step-children, Rodney Pearson of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Charlotte (Craig) Karges of Wheeling, WV and Brenda (John) Jewell of Huber Heights, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Easter of Evans, WV; brother, Lewis Stephens of Cottageville, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm service time at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
