Marilyn Joy Monachella, age 82, of Dayton passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 27, 2015. She was born in Canalou, MO on February 20, 1933 to the late Jabe and Mary Gaddy.
Joy is survived by her beloved husband, Andy; daughters, Marilyn (Jerry) Waddell and Joyce Monachella; son, Andrew (Yuko) Monachella; two grandchildren, Sandra (Scott) and Christopher and his late wife, Leslie; and six great-grandchildren. Joy was a wonderful mother, and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
The family asks that anyone who would like to do so, please make donations to their local public libraries in Joy’s name. Services for Joy will be held at a later date.
