He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and his wife, Linda Niece.
Leon is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Hecker; three sons, James Niece, Robert Niece, and Michael Niece; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church. A Memorial service will follow on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio). Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Leon's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301 or by calling 1-877-647-VETS.
