Powell, Ardyce, 67, of Beavercreek passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home under the care of The Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dan Powell; her sisters, Geanne & Betty, and parents, Bertha and DeWayne Moore.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, David & Heather Powell; daughter, Laurie Steckle; grandchildren, Sean, Bradley, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Ryan, and many special friends.

She received a degree in Early Childhood Education and later went on to earn her Montessori certification. She was able to obtain her dream in owning and operating a state chartered Montessori school which served children preschool aged through sixth grade, in the Beavercreek community for over 25 years. Her commitment to her faith and service with the church was strong. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM March 6, 2015 at Aley United Methodist Church, 4143 Kemp Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
