Dale H. Heffner
1939 - 2012

HEFFNER, Dale, age 73, of Xenia, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Jones; uncle, Claude Rieske; mother-in-law, Mildred Myers, and close friend, Steve Clawson.

Dale is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy (Myers) Heffner; son, Michael D. Heffner; daughter, Diana (Charlie) Hatmaker; special little buddy (grandson), Little Charlie Hatmaker; father-in-law, Alton Myers; brothers-in-law, Tom (Judy) Myers of California and Paul (Linda) Myers of Fairborn; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Williams of West Virginia and Linda M. Scheetz of California; special friend, Rita Clawson, as well as numerous other family members, including members of Xenia City, Xenia Township, and Fairborn Fire Departments. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1961 - 1963.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with Dale’s final expenses.
