Donald Eugene Hayes, age 81, of Bellbrook, passed away June 16, 2018. Donald was born December 24, 1936 in Hutchinson, KS to Harry and Dorothy Hayes. He was an Air Force veteran assigned with the Strategic Air Command. He was a retired employee of Harrison Radiator. Donald was an aircraft designer and builder. He was also an active member of Moraine Airpark and the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 48. In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia. He is survived by his Daughter, Christine (Donald) Walker; Son, Donald (Donna) Hayes; Siblings, Beverly Miller, Alyce (Derold) Metzler, Ron (Shirley) Hayes, and Bob (Karen) Hayes; 8 Grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive guests Monday, June 25, 2018 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery, 3939 Upper Bellbrook Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to VA Hospice Fund (VA Medical Center 4100 West Third St. Dayton OH 45428) in Donald's memory.
