Martha Gardner, 96, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on June 9, 2018 in Cincinnati, Ohio. A private service was held by her family.

Martha was born on October 20, 1921 to Truman and Ethel Hopkins. She married John Gardner in 1942 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Martha was a life-long Cincinnati Reds fan. She had many creative talents including gardening, sewing, and cooking. Martha was known for her beautifully decorated homes and the delicious meals she prepared for family and friends. Martha was much loved, respected, and admired by her family. We will miss her smile, wit, sense of humor and loving presence in our lives.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and her son Tim. Martha is survived by her son John (Marianne) Gardner, niece Ann Johnson, grandchildren Benjamin (Amy), Gabriel, and Sara Gardner, and great-grandchildren Alice and Levi Gardner.
