HOKE (KRUEGER), Marjorie L., age 80, formerly of Kettering, passed away on her 80th birthday on May 20th, 2018 at Heartland of Kettering where she resided for the last 3 years. Marjorie was born in Franklin, Ohio in 1938 to the late Raymond and Margarite Krueger.

She married the love of her life, Robert (B.G.) Hoke in 1959. Robert later passed away in 1996. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Randall Krueger, killed in Vietnam in 1969 and sister-in-law, Maureen Krueger. Surviving are sisters, Leah Travis of McCarthyville, Ohio, Lynnette Brown (James) of New Knoxville, Ohio; brothers, Raymond Krueger of Epping, NH, and Michael Krueger (Cinda) of Englewood, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie retired from the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center after 35 years as an arts and crafts teacher; 10 years as an Assistant Activity Director for NCR International Students, and approximately 5 years for Ryan Homes as a model home representative.

She was schooled at Jackson Center Schools and Sinclair C.C. Marjorie loved cats and dogs throughout her life and spoiled all of God’s creations. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and cooking elaborate dinners for them. Sailing with her husband and dogs on Indian Lake was a great joy of hers, in addition to jazz music and attending events at the Schuster. Her family were also recipients of her many arts and crafts talents. The family wishes to acknowledge her nurses and aides at Heartland whom provided great care (Carrie, Doug, Heather, Linda, and others).
