Mattie was born May 4, 1940, in Morehead, Kentucky, daughter of the late Levi Jared and Mary Dale (Conley) Sparks.
In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her siblings, Levi Sparks Jr., Flossie Brown, Margaret Brooks and Carlotta Banks.
She is survived by her Husband of 60 years, Charles Paul Coldiron; daughters, Tammy (Jim) Honaker and Carletta (Bob) Moats; son, Stephan (Brenda) Coldiron; grandchildren, Stephanie (Nick) Gale, James (Annie) Honaker, Mysti Coldiron, and Matthew Coldiron; great grandchildren, Samuel “Sammy” and Emilia “Emme”; siblings, Elizabeth Chaney, Ruth Baldridge, Bessie (Gene) Cooper, Jack (Shirley) Sparks, Oralee (Jane) Sparks, Rebecca Ellen Glover, Jerry (Ilene) Sparks and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Mattie loved being with family, especially her children, playing games with her grandkids and great grandbabies too. She had attended Miamisburg First Church of the Nazarene for 50 years where she was a member of the Ladies Ministry, served in the kitchen and nursery and was always willing to assist where needed. Mattie retired from the Miaimisburg City Schools where she worked in the cafeteria. After retirement she became a caregiver for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She adored her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Family will receive guests from 5:00 – 7:00 Monday, May 21, 2018 at Miamisburg First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will begin 10:30 am Tuesday, May 22, 2018 also at the church followed by a procession to Heritage Hills Memory Gardens, Springboro for burial.
