Lucille V. Wyatt, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home. She was born May 2, 1927 in Pikeville, Tennessee daughter of the late Floyd and Crata Swafford.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Luther E. Wyatt, Sr.; sons, Luther E. Wyatt, Jr. and Leonard J. Wyatt; grandchild, Sonya Campbell and siblings, Curtis, Harold, Ronald and Delbert Swafford and Gladys Hitchcox.

Lucille is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (fiancé, Rody Pennington) Wyatt and Jeanette (Dorvin) Campbell; son, Kenneth Wyatt; grandchildren, LaVonna Ackley, Theresa Davis, Pamela Antaramian, Kunita Davis, Sandy Campbell, Angie Bowmer, Tonya Loshbough and Melissa Wyatt; great grandchildren, Chris, Dustin, Brenna, Devon, Amber, Ashley, Clayton, Cliffton, Liz, Tiffany, Ashley, Kayla, Amanda, Eli, Brittany and Ava; great great grandchildren, Anniyah, Alijah, Kyrah, Khloe, Viriyah, Liam, Levi, Landon, Jace, Grayson, Skye, Meugel, Jayden, Paisley and Jocelyn and siblings, Wanda Thomas, J.E. Swafford and Dwayne Swafford. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Lucille independently completed her high school education and dedicate the majority of her adult life to her family as a wife, mother and homemaker. For employment, Lucille served in variety of capacities. She taught as a substitute teacher in Tennessee, made wedding and birthday cakes, drove a school bus in Jefferson Township and served as a dispatcher and security guard for Grey’s Security Company. In her spare time, Lucille enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and designing floral arrangements. Some of her most precious memories included numerous trips to Tennessee and family vacations. She also was proud of her beloved bird collection.

Special thanks to Area Agency on Aging, Access Home Care, Ziks Home Care, Catholic Services, many health caregivers, insurance companies and Hospice of Dayton for the incredible care provided to Lucille and her family.

Family will receive guests from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday, April 23, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm also at the funeral home and officiated by Chaplain Tom Myers.
