Susan Hensley Bohse, age 85 of Hudson, FL and formerly of West Carrollton, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Bear Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing in Hudson, FL. She was born July 16, 1932 in Richmond, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hampton and Sophia Hensley.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Bohse and son, Dana S. Bohse and five siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Bohse of Florida; 5 beloved feline friends; many nieces and nephews and her dear friends and caregivers of the Bear Creek Nursing facility.

Susan was school bus driver for West Carrollton and Dayton Christian Schools for 26 years before retiring in 1996. Susan was a graduate of University of Kentucky and a life-long member of the St. Henry Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, following Wildcats sports and supporting the Republican party as a campaign volunteer. In her earlier years she coached and supported youth softball and volleyball and always had time to support her family in their careers and community involvement.

The family is deeply appreciative of the personalized care and compassion Bear Creek provided her during her stay. Susan will always be remembered for her competitive spirit and friendly greetings.

Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South, Kettering Chapel. Funeral services will immediately follow Friday at 12:30 pm also at the funeral home and officiated by Father Ron Combs. Susan's final resting place will be Calvary Cemetery.
