1948 - 2018

EARL LYNN CHIVERS, age 69 of Dayton, passed away surrounded by family on March 4, 2018. He was born in Carrollton, GA to the late James and Magdalene Chivers. After high school, Earl joined the United States Marine Corps. He faithfully and honorably served during the Vietnam War.

After his service, Earl spent many years working for Frigidaire and then went on to work as a top salesman for Lincoln Mercury of Dayton. Earl took great pride in his family and grandchildren. He was a caring, compassionate, and loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Earl will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his brothers, James Chivers and Vincen Chivers.

Earl leaves to cherish his memory, loving children, Damon Chivers, Earl Chivers, Jr., Erin (Greg) Baker, and Kimberly Chivers; brother, Jesse "Stan" (Rhonda) Chivers; sisters, Avies Chivers Stargen and Marsha Chivers; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Newcomer - North Chapel at 12:30pm. Family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (11:30am-12:30pm). Burial and Military Honors to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
