Lou Ellen Wilson, age 75 of Xenia, OH passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 28, 1942 in Newton Township, Ohio to Roy and Opal (Tolliver)Bowles. Lou Ellen married Roger Wilson on September 16, 1962 in New Vienna, OH.

Lou Ellen graduated from New Vienna High School in 1960, from Wright State University with her Bachelor's Degree and from the University of Dayton with her Master's in Education. She taught in the Dayton Public School system for 23 years at Kiser Middle School and Belmont High School and served as the Athletic Director for 10 years. Lou Ellen was a member of First Church of Christ in Xenia for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School, was an avid bowler and an active volunteer as a teacher and tutor. She was a very caring and kind person who put other peoples needs before herself, never meeting a stranger, and loved to spend time with family and friends. Lou Ellen loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Lou Ellen is survived by her son, Timothy A. (Rachel) Wilson, Sr.; a son in law, Michael Mickle; a daughter in law, Patricia Newland; seven grandchildren, Erica (Marc) Morales, Allison (D'Anthony Henry) Wilson, Amellia Mickle, Sean Mickle, Erin Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Jr. and Kaitlyn Williams; four great grandchildren; Isabella, Kade, A'Riah and Ava; two brothers, Cary (Linda) Bowles and Tony (Bonnie) Bowles; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roger; a daughter, Sheila Williams; and a son Tom Newland.

Funeral Services will be held on January 23, 2018 at 12:00 pm at First Church of Christ, 441 Ledbetter Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385. A visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
