1924 - 2018

Charles R. Graf, age 93 of Pitchin, OH went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born December 20, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Louis and Lenora (Blust) Graf.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Nancy (Zeh) Graf; his granddaughter Jill Dodd. He was survived by his son Chuck Graf; daughters, Susan (James) Dodd and Judy (Wayne) Long; an adopted daughter, Patsy (Jim) Lisle; six grandchildren, Chip Graf, Bobbi (Ben) Galloway, Jamie (Stephanie) Dodd, Judith (Lance) Perdue, Nathan (Sara) Long and Anna (Brian) McGuinn; 13 great grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph, Abigail, Joy, Natalie, Collin, Bella, Lyla, Cosette, Nolan, Grant, Drew and Dalton; and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and served on the USS Yorktown in the Pacific Theatre.

Charlie was active in his church, South Charleston Christian Center, and for over 20 years and visited rest homes on a weekly basis. He was a retired truck driver for Wilson Freight and also drove for Clemmons Oil Company of Springfield, OH. Charlie was an avid golfer, shot 3 hole in ones over the years and worked at a place he dearly loved, Locust Hills Golf Club, mowing until the young age of 91 years old. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Locust Hills Golf Club, 5575 North River Road, Springfield, Oh 45502. A Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Locust Hills Golf Club. Pastor Aaron Turner will be officiating the service and the Navy Honor Guard will conduct services following the service.
