Beverly Lewis "B.L." Robbins
1936 - 2018
B.L. attended Chaminade High School from 1950-1952 and graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1954. He proudly served his country while in high school in the Navy Reserves and served active duty with the Navy for 47 months from 1954-1958. B.L. served on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany CVA 34 for 25 months, the destroyer USS Shea DMS 30 for 15 months and completed his last 5 months on the mine sweeper USS Prime MS 46.
B.L. graduated from the University of Dayton in 1962 with a B.S. degree in accounting, business management and economics. He worked as a U.S. Treasury Agent for many years; and retired from Air Force Logistics Command in 1995 after 37 years, where he was a member of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
B.L. loved to play the saxophone and enjoyed cooking for family, friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed golf, playing in golf leagues in his later years, and tinkered with cars as a hobby.
B.L. is survived by a son, David (Tracy) Robbins; a daughter, Lee Ann (Alex) Behnen; four grandchildren, Kevin, Lauren and Scott Robbins and Carys Behnen; he was married to Norma Robbins for 20 years and they maintained a cordial relationship to this day; three sisters, Marjorie Search, Virginia Robbins and Georgene Lohrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on January 20, 2018 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 605 Granville Pl, Riverside, OH, 45431. Guests are welcome at the church at 9:00 am, with mass beginning at 10:00am.
