Norma Gene Haines, 81, of Dayton, passed away December 10, 2017. Norma was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 22, 1936 to the late Charles and Ruth Ingles. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, James W. Haines. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Steve) Foley, Christie (Bob) Thompson; son, Bill (Shelagh) Haines; grandchildren, Angela (Jeremy), Anthony (Annie), Nicholas (Katie), Carrie (Cory), Tracy (Josh), Matthew (Amy), Kelli (Josh), Billy, Makenzie, Amber; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Sherry (Ron) Starr; and several other relatives and special friends. A visitation will be held from 11am – 1pm on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 1pm. A private burial will follow at David’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
