Michael C. Schipke, 56, of Beavercreek, passed away on November 13, 2017. He was born on December 20, 1960 to Lt. Col. Donald and Elaine Schipke in Tagiura, Libya.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Communications Specialist. Michael worked as a Police Officer for the Village of Mechanicsburg for many years. Currently, he was a Captain for Tri County Regional Jail. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 8312, the Eintracht Club, the Liederkranz-Turner Club, and President of the Eagle Creek Landing Association.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Elaine Schipke; brother, Mark and wife, Patricia Schipke; special friend, Kimber L. Ferryman; nieces, Mary Kathryn and Caroline Schipke; nephew, William C. Schipke, as well as numerous friends and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lt. Col. Donald C. Schipke and sister, Karen J. Schipke.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Newcomer (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439 with a funeral service following at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
