Joan Halcyon Beidle Burdeshaw, 85, died October 14, 2017.

Those who preceded her in death were husband, George Burdeshaw; son, John Burdeshaw; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Beidle; brother, Paul Beidle Jr.; and granddaughter, Jessica Burdeshaw.

She is survived by daughters, Jean Burdeshaw, Jayne Burdeshaw; granddaughters, Jennifer, Victoria, Isabel; and great-granddaughters, Jaaziah and Amiah.

She retired from Summit County Title Bureau in 1996 after 23 years of service. She received the Employee High Point Award in 1995. While living in Akron, Ohio she was a member of Hope United Methodist Church where she was the Financial Secretary for five years. In 2001 she organized the Singles Plus Ministry and was chairman for 4 1/2 years. She was a member of Eagles Aux. 555, VFW 3383, Coventry AARP #3820, Kenmore Senior Citizens Club and Firestone Park Prime Timers and was their Tour Bus Engineer.

In 2006 she moved from Akron to Beavercreek, Ohio and lived with her daughter Jean and son-in-law Daniel Jordan. She was very active and enjoyed the Beavercreek Senior Center where she particularly enjoyed dressing in costume for the different holidays. She volunteered for Greene County Parks, Xenia Historical Society and Greene County Council of Aging. She also worked in the Election Voting Booths in Beavercreek as well as Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, dancing, movies/theater and senior group traveling and also traveling to Norway where her daughter Jayne lives.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 6pm at Newcomer - Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio. Memorial services will also be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 6pm at Newcomer - Akron, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio. Memorial donations can be made to Beavercreek Senior Center in Beavercreek.
