Mary "Katie" Dierkers
1919 - 2017

Mary “Katie” Dierkers, Age 98, of Kettering, passed away Monday October 9, 2017. She was a founding member of St. Charles Parish where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 16th at 10:30 AM.

Katie passed peacefully in the early morning hours after spending the weekend visiting with many friends and family members. She knew her time was short, but she had a smile for everyone—especially the kids.

Preceded in death by Joe, her husband of 56 years, in 2000, she leaves behind a son Joe (Barb), a daughter Susan (Jeff) Bledsoe, a sister Shirley Andrews, 5 grandchildren, 4 greatgrandchildren, 30+ nieces and nephews as well as her many friends such as the “walkers” from Kettering Rec and the euchre group from the Milton Club.
People will remember her for her smile, her sense of humor, her positivity and her love of a party.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Kettering on Sunday the 15th from 4 to 7 PM. Beverages and pretzels will be served.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SICSA, Red Cross or a charity of your choice.
