Edna “Marie” Raynes, age 96, of Venice, FL, formerly of Dayton, OH, passed away on September 20, 2017. Marie was born on December 1, 1920 in Morgantown, WV. Marie spent her childhood in Martins Ferry, OH, and moved to the Venice area in 1994.
She was graceful and caring, and made numerous friends throughout her life. Her pride and joy was her loving family.
Survivors include her son, Phillip, and daughter in law, Christine of Dayton, OH; grandchildren Chad (Lorrie) Raynes and Angela (Steve) Cox; and five great grandchildren, Carlle, Nikki, Allyson, Quentin, and Brooksley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Clayton D. Raynes, and their first son, C. Richard Raynes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 10:30AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439.
