Carl H. Evans, age 85 of Riverside, reunited with his wife, Hattie Evans on Monday, September 11, 2017. He was born on December 2, 1931 in Honaker, VA to the late Mathias and Amei Evans. In addition to his wife and parents, Carl was preceded in death by his son, Steven John Evans; granddaughter, Amber Corley and 11 siblings.

He is survived by his son, Randy & Jeneen Evans; daughter, Penny Sturgill; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, E.M. & Debbie, Betty and Francis; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Carl worked and retired from Harrison Thomas Drop Forge Company after 40 years of service.

Family will receive friends from 9-10 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow the service at Byron Cemetery.
