Fondersmith, Sandra K., 72, of Centerville, passed away July 20, 2017.

She was born July 15, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Donald and Frances (Oglesbee) Franklin. Sandra graduated from Springboro High School in 1963. She earned her Associate Degree from Miami Jacobs. Sandra was retired from City of Kettering as the Chief Deputy Clerk of Courts after 31 years. She also worked for the Centerville City Schools food service for 16 years after her retirement. Sandra was an avid golfer, bowler and card player. She belonged to the Strawberry Golf League at WGC, Community Golf League and the Executive Women’s Golf Association. Sandra also loved to travel, read, attend festivals and collect antiques.

She is survived by her brother, William O. Franklin and wife, Ann; nieces, Donna Williams and husband, Dave, Cindy Boyle and husband, Rob, Deanna Lang and husband, Matt; great-nieces and nephews, Justin (Lindsey), Jason, Jessica, Joe, Valarie (Mark), Mike and Chris. Sandra is also survived by her many caring, loving friends whom she cherished.

The family would like to thank her many friends who lovingly cared for her during her recent illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Sandra’s memory.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 from 11am until 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd, where memorial service will follow at 12pm.
