Beust, Charles Robert ‘Chuck’ age 91 of Oakwood passed away Wednesday July 12, 2017. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Florence and Carl Beust.

Chuck was a graduate of the 1944 class of Oakwood High School and graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. After graduation from college, he served in the United States Army in the 9th Machine Records Unit one of the first computer data management units during the Korean Conflict. He worked for NCR Corporation for many years. Upon retiring he started a new career as a doting grandfather. Chuck loved to play golf and had been a member of both NCR and Dayton Country Clubs.

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Luanne M. (Jones) in 1985 and by siblings John H. Beust in 2000, Mary B. Wood in 2015 and Albert P. Beust in 2015. He is survived by his son, Chris and daughter-in-law Gretchen G. Beust, grandsons John G. and Teddy Beust.

Family will receive friends Wednesday July 19th. 11:00 am with service to follow at 11:30 with Reverend John Atkins of St. Paul’s Church presiding at Woodland Cemetery Chapel 118 Woodland Ave. Dayton, OH 45409. Celebration of life immediately following at the Dayton Country Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carillon Historical Park- Dayton History (937) 293-2841, www.daytonhistory.org/support/.
