Steven B. Adkinson, age 60, of Dayton, Ohio passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on July 11, 2017.

Steve graduated from Meadowdale High School, class of 1975.

He worked many years as a service technician for Pitney Bowes. Steve also worked for some restaurants as a cook, most recently with TGI Fridays.

He always enjoyed cooking. He was famous for his chili and apple pie.

Steve was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his daughters, their husbands, and grandchildren.

He also enjoyed bowling, anything nascar, and had a love of rock and roll music. Steve enjoyed spending his time with his dogs, Abbey, Rocky, and Lucy, all named after his favorite band, The Beatles.

Steve was preceded in death by spouse Sharen Adkinson, father Charles Alton Adkinson Jr., mother Dorthea P. Adkinson, brother Charles (Mike) Adkinson and sister Suzanne Kromer.

He is survived by daughters Andrea(Murray) Davidson, Kristyn(Ethan) Phelps, brothers Dave(Jean) Adknson, Pat(Debbie) Adkinson, Phil (Vickie) Adkinson and sisters Dianne Adkinson and Teri(Terry) Buchanan. Grandchildren Haylie, Izabella, and Elias and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve's family will greet friends on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2-4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439.

A Celebration of Steve's life will follow at 4:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.

Private burial will take place at Miami-Corwin Cemetery next week.
