In Memory Of
Monda Lee Smart

Monda Lee Smart went home to be with her Lord on July 2, 2017, after a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her mother Martha Smart and father Maynard Smart and is survived by her lifelong friend Linda Miller, her brother Maynard Smart, Linda’s brother-in-law and longtime family friend Anthony Townsend, and many cousins and friends.

Over her long career as an accountant/controller, Monda worked for Casssano’s, Dayton Perfusionists, and Dayton Christian Schools; she was self-employed for the past ten years.

As an accountant, Monda desired to serve the Lord with integrity, a sometimes difficult task in this world where money is often more important than anything else. She used her talents to provide financial counseling, help with taxes, and budget services. She focused on helping people be financially responsible but also on using their money to honor the Lord.

She was generous with her money, her time, and other resources. Many people can testify to being blessed by her in one or all of these ways. Monda had a servant’s heart and would do anything she could for anyone. She seemed to be able to see people with the eyes of her Savior and know what they needed and how she could help. She was active in church and was committed to helping spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by her own testimony and by supporting organizations that spread the Gospel.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Samaritan’s Purse, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Answers in Genesis, or any other organization that spreads the Gospel.

A memorial service will be held August 3, 10:00 a.m., at Patterson Park Church, 3655 E. Patterson Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45430. Her body is interred at Calvary Cemetery.
