Albert Alfons Raab, age 77 of West Milton, passed away May 19, 2017. He was born February 9, 1940 to the late Charles and Elizabeth Raab. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Raab; and sister, Charlotte Sharpe.

Al is survived by his wife, Carolynne Raab; children: Albert David Raab, Michael Christopher Raab and Thomas Frederick Raab; step-children: Kelly Kucera and Carrie Lauterbach; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Georgia Raab; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Al was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he was a helicopter machine gun operator in the Vietnam War. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1500 Shiloh Springs Road, Dayton, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial and military honors will take place immediately following at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
