Carl J. Allen, age 74 of Dayton, passed away May 15, 2017. He was born February 8, 1943 in Frenchburg, KY to the late Elbert and Garnett (Steele) Allen. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Jo Ann Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janice Allen; children, Lisa Allen and Michael Allen; step-son, Steve (Melissa) Henson, grandchildren, Nicholas (Alex) and Jessica Allen; 4 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Conner, Aryanna and Melania; brother, Earl Allen and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Carl worked and retired from Delphi Chasse after 38 years of service. He was a board member of the Western Ohio Remote Control Society in West Carrollton and The Ohio Astronomical Society at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs.

Family will receive friends from 9-10 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow the service at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon, OH.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Hospice of Dayton or Trinity Community of Beavercreek, in Carl's memory.
