Jaret Ryan Lakes, age 19, of Clearcreek Township, passed away unexpectedly April 17, 2017 at his home.

Jaret was preceded in death by his grandfather, William H. Lakes, Sr. who passed in 2011.

He was a 2016 graduate of Springboro High School. He loved playing football starting 1st grade in Huber Heights until his freshman year at Springboro. His football playing days were cut short by a concussion. Jaret enjoyed weight lifting, music, was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his family. He had a contagious smile and laugh that lit up a room! Jaret will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jaret is survived by his parents, Bill and June (McFadden) Lakes; brother, Josh (Krista) Lakes of Virginia Beach, VA (who he loved roughhousing with); grandparents, Vicky Lakes of Miamisburg, OH; and Don and Barb McFadden of Huber Heights, OH; aunts and uncles, Kim (Phil) Morman of Traverse City, MI; Anita (Tim) Miller of Springboro, OH; Donna (Rex) Carey of Tipp City, OH; cousins TJ (Dana) Miller, Jeremy (Jessica) Miller, Chad Carey, Kelly (Dave) Flynn, Becca (Mike) Borsuck, Greg Morman and Brooke (Graham) Long; as well as numerous other family and friends who were blessed to know Jaret.

A Celebration of Jaret’s life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Southbrook Christian Church, 9095 Washington Church Rd., Miamisburg, OH 45342. Jaret’s family will greet friends from 10:00 am until service time at the church. Jaret will be cremated and remain with his parents forever.
