George Robert McCann, aged 86, passed away Monday, January 16th, 2017, in Miamisburg, Ohio, surrounded by his wife and children.

Born in Carlisle, Kentucky on October 4th, 1930, to George and Mary Elizabeth McCann, he was preceded in death by his sister Jean (McCann) Regan and his parents.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Norma, two sons John and Robert, and his daughter Julie (McCann) Beeching, fourteen grandchildren; Jessica (McCann) Atkinson, Lindsay McCann, Rachel (McCann) Ermer, Sara (Carrington) Neff, Andrew Carrington, Melissa (Boyer) Roberts, Jack Boyer, Daniel Boyer, Dave Beeching, Nicholas Beeching, Matthew McCann, Alexandra (McCann) Starkey, Katy McCann, and Jacob McCann, as well as nine great-grandchildren.

He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Bordelon.
