Glenn E. Elliott, age 83 of Dayton, passed away December 6, 2016. He was born May 2, 1933 in Black Star, KY to the late Alec and Katherine Elliott. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elliott.

Glenn is survived by his daughters: Angela Combs, Sandra Elliott, Deborah Boyd and Melissa Trent (Sam Sizemore); grandchildren: Kristine Anderson, David Sherman, Dustin Toms, Daniel Toms, Joshua Toms, Tanya Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Matthew Ison, Eric Trent, Travis Morgan and Raquel Morgan; great-grandchildren: Aaron, Kaylee, Braden, Mason, Braxton, Rose, Brentley and Trevor; brothers: Denver and David; sisters: Clearcy, Merle and Sherry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special nephew, Matt David Elliott and special friends: Debra Denise and Julie Ann.

Glenn was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War. He was an accomplished musician and was a member of the Bluegrass Society. Glenn was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
