1929 - 2016

Conway, Richard “Dick” Blair, age 87, of Dayton, passed away October 23, 2016 at Dayton V.A. Hospice. He was born January 30, 1929 at the beginning of the Great Depression in Covington, Ohio the son of Lawson and Lillian (Perry) Conway.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Jean and daughter Kimberly Conway.

Dick attended school in Clayton, Brookville, Piqua and graduated from Milton-Union High School in West Milton. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and afterwards received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton. Dick pursued a career in sales and real estate brokerage.

Richard is survived by his son, Garry S. (Jill) Conway of Texas; sister, Mary Lou Chadwell, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton VA Hospice program.
