He is survived by his six children, Ronald Senegal, Richard (Vanessa) Senegal, Gena Senegal, Renee (Charles) Gray, Ryan (Erica) Senegal and Rahema (Maurice) Rodgers; grandchildren, Savion Rodgers, Gabrielle Rodgers, Ezekiel Senegal, Emmanuel Senegal and Elias Senegal; siblings, Lucille Taylor, Sydney Gordon and Steven (Rita) Senegal; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
LeRoy served his country and retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force Band. LeRoy was a talented musician, who played saxophone, clarinet, flute, and piano. He also enjoyed writing music. Following retirement he earned two Master's Degrees and became a probation officer and then a social worker/counselor for at risk youth. In his free time he volunteered to coach youth sports, served as a mediator with the Dayton Mediation Center and was active with the Huber Heights Democratic Club.
Family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Aspire Church, 51 Best Ave. Dayton, OH where a funeral service will begin at 11AM.
A private interment will be held at a later date at Dayton National Cemetery.
