Carl Edward Allen, age 81 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on June 24, 2016. He was born July 17, 1934 in Grays Knob, Kentucky to James and Maude Allen.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 49 years Jane Allen; daughter, Debbie (Allen) Roark; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Carl is survived by his children Dennis Allen, David Young and Diana Allen; Grandchildren Sandy (Young) Ednie, Nichole (Roark) Baker, Krystal (Roark) Holbrook, Justin Kozuszek, and Josh Kozuszek. He is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren Allison, Brooke, Jayden, Jackson, Jenna, Olivia, Presley, Kennedy, and Benjamin; 2 Great - Great Grandchildren, Brody and Paisley, as well as numerous family and friends.

In 1952 Carl Graduated from Hall High School and married the love of his life Jane (Wingfield) Allen. Carl and his wife moved to Miamisburg, Ohio in 1952 where he found employment with Standard Register for 42 years before retiring in 1996.

Carl had a twinkle in his eye and a story to tell. He was unique, beautiful and filled hearts with joy and laughter. Carl was proud to be born and raised in the Grays Knob, a Kentucky coal miner’s camp, where many of his best stories came from. He was a loyal Kentucky Wildcats fan and cheered on his beloved Wildcats each season. He was a member of the Miamisburg Masons and coached pee wee football, little league baseball and umpired little league baseball for many years. Carl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Carl spent the last years of his life enjoying his grandchildren and family.

The visitation will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 9am to 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio 45439.) A service will be held after visitation with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Carl Allen to Hospice of Dayton.
